My-Iono Servis is a web-based ionosphere monitoring system that provides information on the condition of the ionosphere in Malaysia in near real time. The ionosphere is an ionic layer in the earth’s atmosphere whose condition is constantly changing according to time and geographical location. Ionospheric activity is influenced by space weather as shown in Figure 2. In Malaysia, MYSA has identified several potential users who use My-Iono Service as a reference medium for daily operations such as the Department of Civil Aviation Malaysia, Department of Survey and Mapping Malaysia, Department of Marine Malaysia and research institutions. outside and inside the country. This R&D product, MY-Iono Service is the result of a combination of two science research fund projects from the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) led by MYSA entitled “Reliability Study on Ionosphere Modeling for SBAS System” (04-05-05-SF00009) and “An Equatorial Ionosphere and Alert System for Space Weather Application” (04-05-05-SF0026) in collaboration with Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). Users registered with this service will receive an alert via email when the ionosphere index gives the status “medium” or “severe”. In addition, registered users can also get information on the electron value content of “Total Electron Contain” (TEC), signal delay error in meter units and the rate of change of TEC value in Malaysia in real time.
