Hujan Meteor Orionids merujuk kepada titik kemunculan hujan meteor di langit iaitu di kawasan buruj ๐—ข๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป, tetapi kemunculannya masih boleh berlaku dari pelbagai arah. Fenomena ini berlaku setiap tahun apabila Bumi yang beredar mengelilingi Matahari merentasi laluan orbit ๐—ž๐—ผ๐—บ๐—ฒ๐˜ ๐Ÿญ๐—ฃ/๐—›๐—ฎ๐—น๐—น๐—ฒ๐˜† atau dikenali sebagai Komet Halley.

Komet Halley dianggarkan mengambil masa selama 75 hingga 76 tahun untuk melengkapkan orbitnya. Semasa komet tersebut mengorbit menghampiri Matahari, debu-debu komet yang terbebas disebabkan oleh proses pemejalwapan akhirnya akan berserakan dan membentuk laluan yang dipenuhi dengan sisa-sisa ๐—ธ๐—ผ๐—บ๐—ฒ๐˜ tersebut. Sisa tinggalan ini akhirnya akan memasuki atmosfera Bumi dan terbakar lalu membentuk jalur bersinar yang panjang.

* ๐—ž๐—ผ๐—บ๐—ฒ๐˜ merupakan pepejal gabungan antara batuan, debu dan ais dan debunya boleh berserakan apabila mengorbit mendekati matahari.
* ๐—ž๐—ผ๐—บ๐—ฒ๐˜ ๐Ÿญ๐—ฃ/๐—›๐—ฎ๐—น๐—น๐—ฒ๐˜† adalah komet jangka pendek yang dapat dilihat dengan mata kasar dari Bumi setiap 75 – 76 tahun dan satu-satunya komet sedemikian yang mungkin dapat muncul dua kali dalam seumur hidup manusia. Halley kali terakhir muncul di bahagian dalaman Sistem Suria pada tahun 1986 dan ia akan muncul kembali pada pertengahan tahun 2061.
* ๐—ข๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป atau dikenali sebagai Belantik ialah sekumpulan bintang yang kedudukannya membentuk imej seperti pemburu.

ISO 9001:2015 CERTIFICATION FOR TESTING AND MEASUREMENT SERVICES

MYSA has received the ISO 9001:2015 certification for the Scope of Testing and Measurement Services Related to Mechanical Engineering, Space Environment and Electromagnetic for Commercial and Space Industry (Management and Support Services) for its Space Technology Complex in Banting on 22 January 2014.

The certification has been renewed on 18 September 2020 for a period of 3 years until 14 September 2023.

ISO 9001:2015 Certification for Management of Remote Sensing Data Services

The ISO 9001 Certification for Management of Remote Sensing Data Services has been upgraded to ISO 9001:2015.

MYSA is the sole supplier of unconventional satellite and airborne remote sensing data as approved by the Ministry of Finance in January 2007. MYSA also plays the role as an advisory to the Government with regards to the development and application of remote sensing and related technologies.

MYSA Remote Sensing Data Services has been certified with ISO 9002 version 1994 in July 2001 and to version 2000 on 15 April 2005. Documentation revision to ISO 9001:2008 was successfully completed on 8 January 2010 and certification for the ISO 9001:2008 was obtained on 17 August 2010. The latest revision, ISO 9001:2015 was published in 2015 and MYSA has upgraded its documentation and procedures according to the new standard. On 16 November 2018, MYSA has been certified and upgraded to ISO 9001:2015.

MYSA is committed to providing quality remote sensing data services according to clientโ€™s requirements and strives to increase its services through quality management led by the ISO Management Committee.

The scope of management of remote sensing data services includes:

  • Remote sensing data services in 2 formats (digital and hardcopy print) to government and private user agencies; and
  • Core activities related to data services at the main headquarters and at ground receiving station located at the address:
